Books I’ll Read at the Beach | Top 10 Tuesday [#34]

TOP-10-TUESDAY-NEW

Hey guys!

Welcome back to another Top 10 Tuesday weekly fun on my blog! Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. If you want to join in the fun, hop on over to their blog to see what it’s all about!

This week’s topic is Top 10 Books I’ll Read at the Beach.

The beach is one of my favorite places to whip out a good book and get a chunk of reading done. It’s peaceful just sitting there under the shade of an umbrella hearing the waves hit the shore and the laughs of the other beach goers. Now that I have weekends off now, I plan to hit the beach every chance I get! What are your summer beach plans?

10. Why Not Me by Mindy Kaling

9. Openly Straight by Bill Konisberg

8. The Love that Split the World by Emily Henry

7. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

6. Emancipated by M.G Reyes

5. You, Me, Him by Kris Dinnison

4. Proof of Forever by Lexa Hillyer

3. I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

2. The Night We Said Yes by Lauren Gibaldi

1. We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson

Well there you have it! Top 10 Books I’ll Read at the Beach. What books will you be reading at the beach? Any other favorite beach activities?

Lovely Rebel Sun | What’s Next? #4

What's-Next

Hey guys!

What’s Next? is fun weekly meme created by Hafsah & Asma over at Icey Books. If you want to join in the fun and be apart of #WhatsNext … you can find all the details at the BLOG page.

Here are a few books I have to (or want to!) read soon. Which first?

CONTEMPORARY EDITION!

Lovely, Dark, and DeepSince the night of the crash, Wren Wells has been running away. Though she lived through the accident that killed her boyfriend Patrick, the girl she used to be didn’t survive. Instead of heading off to college as planned, Wren retreats to her father’s studio in the far-north woods of Maine. Somewhere she can be alone.

Then she meets Cal Owen. Dealing with his own troubles, Cal’s hiding out too. When the chemistry between them threatens to pull Wren from her hard-won isolation, Wren has to choose: risk opening her broken heart to the world again, or join the ghosts who haunt her.

Rebel Bully Geek PariahThe Rebel: Once popular, Andi is now a dreadlocked, tattooed wild child.
The Bully: York torments everyone who crosses his path, especially his younger brother.
The Geek: Tired of being bullied, Boston is obsessed with getting into an Ivy League college.
The Pariah: Choosing to be invisible has always worked for Sam . . . until tonight.

When Andi, York, Boston, and Sam find themselves hiding in the woods after a party gets busted by the cops, they hop into the nearest car they see and take off—the first decision of many in a night that will change their lives forever. By the light of day, these four would never be caught dead together, but when their getaway takes a dangerously unpredictable turn, sticking together could be the only way to survive.

I'll Give You the SunJude and her twin brother, Noah, are incredibly close. At thirteen, isolated Noah draws constantly and is falling in love with the charismatic boy next door, while daredevil Jude cliff-dives and wears red-red lipstick and does the talking for both of them. But three years later, Jude and Noah are barely speaking. Something has happened to wreck the twins in different and dramatic ways . . . until Jude meets a cocky, broken, beautiful boy, as well as someone else—an even more unpredictable new force in her life. The early years are Noah’s story to tell. The later years are Jude’s. What the twins don’t realize is that they each have only half the story, and if they could just find their way back to one another, they’d have a chance to remake their world.

This radiant novel from the acclaimed, award-winning author of The Sky Is Everywhere will leave you breathless and teary and laughing—often all at once.

So what should I read next? I’m leaning toward Rebel, Bully, Geek, Pariah or I’ll Give You the Sun… but we’ll see!

Until next time,

Sig New

The Alphabet Book Tag | Books at Dawn

The-Alphabet-Tag

Hey guys!

I was tagged by Sara from Freadom Library to do The Alphabet Book Tag! Thanks for the tag Sara. And if you haven’t checked out her blog, please do me a favor and do that now! One of my favorite book bloggers!

The Rules:

Pick a book that is on your shelf or one that you have read in the past and fill out each letter of the Alphabet. The idea is to use books that you have either read or that are on your TBR list.

The books that are underlined are books that I have read and the rest are books that are on my TBR. I tried to pick books that I love and enjoyed that I haven’t talked about much on my blog or TBR books that I am dying to pick up soon.

SO let’s get started!

Hyped Books I’ve Never Read | Top 10 Tuesdays

Top10TuesdayHey guys!

I’ve decided to join the Top 10 Tuesday Weekly fun on my blog because why the hell not? Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. If you want to join in the fun, hop on over to their blog to see what it’s all about!

This weeks topic is the Top 10 Hyped Books I’ve Never Read. I had a teeny bit of trouble gathering ten books for this list because I am always reading the hyped up books when they come out. I just can’t help it. I mean what’s the point of all the hype if the book isn’t any good? So the books I put on this list are the hyped books I have yet to read, because lets face it, I’m going to read them sooner or later!

10) The Maze Runner by James Dashner

The Maze RunnerI’ve seen the movie and I’ve been slacking on picking up this book. Maybe 2015 will be the year I do it!

9) I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

I'll Give You the SunThis has been recommended to me from several different people. It has won awards. The plot sounds like a book I would love. All this awesomeness and I have yet to read it.

8) Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork AngelI am slowly but surely getting through The Mortal Instruments series so I can finally start the prequel to it all. I’m only several years behind the hype.

7) Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

FangirlNaturally after reading Eleanor and Park I wanted to immediately start Fangirl… but…but…yeah. I still haven’t read it.

6) The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

The Final EmpireBooktube exploded with this book and has literally hyped this book up so much that I want to go as far as to purchase the UK covers. Come on, just look at the beauty of them!

5) A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

A Game of ThronesYes this book is huge and wordy. And yes I will eventually read it. I just have to grow some balls first.

4) The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

The Raven BoysI am finally going to cave and read this book. I purchased it and it’s close up on the TBR list. Look out for it soon!

3) Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Shadow and BoneSame goes for this glory! After seeing the hype for Six of Crows, a story held in the same world as this one, I will naturally have to read this one first!

2) Red Rising by Pierce Brown

Red RisingThis freaking book has been taunting me on my TBR list for so goddamn long. I’ve already started it but have since put it down. Not because its not interesting or good, I’m just weird like that.

1) An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

An Ember in the AshesOk, this book. Do I even have to say anything? It was so good that it went from being a standalone book to a freaking series. It’s so hyped I don’t even know what to do with it! Duh, I will read it.

Well there you have it. The Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Never Read. Let me know what you guys think of my list and share with me what are some of your hyped books you have yet to read.

See ya next time,

Jesse Nicholas
