Indigo YA Fall Preview | Event Recap
I got the amazing opportunity once again to attend this year’s Indigo YA Fall Preview event hosted of course by Indigo Books! For those who don’t know, Indigo is Canada’s biggest chain of book and lifestyle stores across the country.
I love attending these events because it’s a great opportunity to educate and inspire us local Canadian bloggers and booktubers about all the upcoming book releases. As most of you know, Fall hosts some of the biggest releases in publishing. It’s my favorite time of year.
The event began at 5pm with a mix and mingle. We got to meet and for many of us in attendance, got to see again some of our favorite book people. At the event, there were all the category managers involved in buying and placing all of our favorite books in stores. Along with them, were real book sellers plucked out of the local stores to come and chat about all the fun releases we are in store for!
With refreshments in hand we took our seats at 6pm and jumped right into the presentation.
I am so hyped now for all the upcoming releases. GIMME GIMME GIMME!!
I always love attending these events because I not only get more info on the books I already know and are excited for, but also ones that I wouldn’t have known about if it wasn’t for this.
I can’t wait for all the great fantasy and sci-fi reads coming our way. Also equally as ecstatic for the manga and graphic novel release too. So many books, but so little shelf space. Problems of a bookworm!
From the decor, to the refreshments, to the presentation, the Indigo team really outdone themselves this time around!
It was an exciting night all around and I am so lucky to be able to use my platform to gush and talk about books all day. Thank you to Tina, and all the Indigo staff for an amazing night and I look forward to next one!
P.S. The night would not be complete without a few more goodies. The ARC selection was on point this year. Take a look at all the lovelies I get to read and review for you all:
