Mini Reviews: The Woman in Cabin 10 / Behind Closed Doors

 Mini Reviews

Hey Bookworms!

Today I am bringing you two mini reviews of some of the books I’ve recently read.

The Woman in Cabin 10The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
Published by Gallery/Scout Press on July 19th 2016
Genres: Fiction, Mystery, Thriller
Pages: 340
Format: Paperback

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware is thriller set on a luxury cruise-liner. Our main protagonist, Lo, is not having the best week. Her house gets broken into before the cruise, and she ends of being quite traumatized.

To top it all off, on board the cruise the woman in the cabin beside hers goes missing. That room was empty. No one on the cruise ship knows who Lo is talking about and Lo is the only one who has “saw” her.

Ware takes us as readers, on a wild journey of disbelief and doubt. I liked how she managed to spin the story so that even as readers we begin to disbelieve that there was ever a woman in cabin 10.

The writing was top notch, the story was interesting, and the ending was well worth it. Definitely go pick this one up if you’re a fan of the thriller genre!

Behind Closed DoorsBehind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
Published by St. Martin’s Press on August 9th 2016
Genres: Fiction, Mystery, Thriller
Pages: 351
Format: Paperback

Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris was one of the scariest thrillers I have ever read. I’m not saying it is horror movie scary, I am just saying that this one was way too real. A story like this one could actually be true!

It follows the perfect couple, Jack and Grace, and their seemingly perfect lives that they live. But all is not as it seems behind closed doors. There is something not right with this picture.

Nothing is as perfect as it seems and Paris takes you through a whirlwind ride of unsettling proportions. I could not put this one down once I started. I was blown away by the writing and the twists and turns it kept taking from beginning to end.

A thriller like this one is definitely not to be passed up and you should add it to your TBR asap!

I highly recommend this one if you like dark, creepy thrillers, good writing, and absolute page turners. Let me know what you guys thought of The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware, and Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. I would love to hear your opinions as well!

Until next time,

Jesse Nicholas Sig

  1. I’ve heard mixed things about Ruth Ware’s book but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was suspenful and I didn’t see that ending coming. I also recently read B.A. Parks’s book The Breakdown and I loved it! It was such a good read. I gotta pick up Behind Closed Doors.

  2. I love stories that include family issues, messed up relationships, and struggles for power in the couple… Now, I have read Gone Girl, do you think they are in the same row? I made a review of it in my blog (hope you could check it)

I have heard about this book so many times that I was so closed to buy it in an outlet but it was $9 and I think it was not such a big deal… ($$$)

Thank you for your review and recommendation!! 😀
