Spotlight Saturday is a weekly feature, created by Josie at Josie’s Book Corner, dedicated to spotlighting and pinpointing some of the things over the week that have caught my attention more than usual, things I’ve particularly loved, etc.
So now that you guys know what it’s all about, how about you join in the fun and hop on over to Josie’s Book Corner and check out how to do so~
This week’s blogger that I want to spotlight is Jenna from Reading with Jenna!
I love her blog. She has great reviews on books that I am interested in and I trust her opinion when it comes to them. I love talking with her through blog comments and getting her opinion on different topics. She has definitely grown to be one of my favorite bloggers!
I have gotten so many great books added to my TBR thanks to her. (Yes I am blaming you for this HAHA) And I can’t wait to see what she reviews next! So go check her out guys and follow her. You won’t regret it!
Every blogger goes through rough patches in there blogging career where they have troubles balancing real life and blog life. Even I am going through some lazy times where I just want to take a little break. And in Josie’s post she outlines some great tips and advice on how to balance both your lives to keep things harmonious.
So if you have ever had troubles doing so then definitely go check out her post. It’s helped me out a lot so I am sure it will do the same for you guys as well!
Imagine a time when the gods turn a blind eye to the agony of men, when the last of the hellions roam the plains and evil stirs beyond the edges of the map. A time when cities burn, and in their ashes, empires rise.
Alexander, Macedonia’s sixteen-year-old heir, is on the brink of discovering his fated role in conquering the known world but finds himself drawn to newcomer Katerina, who must navigate the dark secrets of court life while hiding her own mission: kill the Queen. But Kat’s first love, Jacob, will go to unthinkable lengths to win her, even if it means competing for her heart with Hephaestion, a murderer sheltered by the prince. And far across the sea, Zofia, a Persian princess and Alexander’s unmet fiancée, wants to alter her destiny by seeking the famed and deadly Spirit Eaters.
I have a lot of opinions on this book. All of which I will address in a future review for it when I finish reading. But until then, you guys you should check it out so we can discuss it!
I had the opportunity to go to concert this week and I took it! Me and my sister when to see the iconic rock band AC/DC here in Winnipeg. Even though I don’t know much about them since they were before my generation but I do know some of their most popular songs.
For old guys they sure know how to rock and roll! I was a great concert with amazing light shows and pyrotechnics. The instrumentals were fantastic but I could not understand a word of what the lead singer was singing. HAHA
If it wasn’t for the rain in the open stadium I think I would have no complaints. But unfortunately due to that I woke up the next day with a bit of a cold. I’ll survive though. And at least I get to say that I’ve seen AC/DC in concert! Not something everyone else can say.
I love posting new pictures to my instagram and sometimes I like to spruce them up with a little designs and words to enhance the quality of my pictures. So this week I want to spotlight one of the apps I use to do just that:
Share the story & emotion behind your photos by applying beautiful text and elegant overlays.
Quickly create funny, inspirational or informative images to share & use however you choose. The elegant design and professional features in LetterGlow mean the only limit is your creativity!
If you want to add a little something extra to you pictures then go out and get this APP! It’s great!
This week is the week of the boy groups for me! Both recently released their EP’s and I have had them on replay ever since. This week I will be spotlighting my favorite song off each of their EP’s respectively!
Off their most recent EP, my favorite song is HERO. It produces and fun energetic beat with cool lyrics and great vocals/rapping from the members. The line distribution is well spread out among the members and should have been a strong contender for their title track.
Off their most recent debut EP, my favorite song is Colors. I can describe it as somewhat of a ballad soft rock track with great instrumentals and smooth vocals. I love the melody of the chorus and can’t help singing a lot with the members. This song really puts my mind at ease and I find my stress levels mellowing out when I listen to it!
So I would definitely go check out these songs if you’re a fan of KPOP!

You will have thousands judge you in a life time, but it is up to you to overcome it and not let it bother you.
Well there ya have it guys! My fifth Spotlight Saturday post! Thanks again Josie for letting me join in on the fun. Tell me what you guys want to put a spotlight on, I would love to know!
Until next time,
